Marianna has a deep expertise in microbiology and a passion for advancing sustainable solutions in agriculture. Her broad experience and research skills include the studying of microbial products, microalgae, fungi, yeasts, bacteria and plant pathogens and the process of microbe isolation and identification. At FA Bio, she will play a key role in advancing our product development strategies and contributing to our mission of innovation in agriculture.
Marianna has over 12 years of experience in researching innovative methods for the bioconversion of agro-industrial by-products or aquaculture effluents into novel microbial products for various industries. She has worked as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Patras, the University of Ljubljana and the University of Milan, performing chemical characterisation of effluents and identifying microalgal strains as well as optimising microalgae cultivation protocols, testing a biological fungicide and studying the impact of urbanisation on soil communities.
Marianna has a PhD in Microbiology and Biotechnology and a Master of Science in Biological Technology: Research and Applications from the University of Patras.
