As part of its initiative to grow and nurture an inclusive and diverse team, FA Bio’s ‘Culture Champion’ award recognises and celebrates those who make significant contributions to the team by living the company values. Each quarter, the team votes those individuals worthy of the award, recognising their contributions to the company culture and innovation.
The latest recipient of ‘FA Bio’s Culture Champion’ award is Alessandro Pession. As a Product Development Research Scientist at FA Bio, Alessandro is responsible for the research, development and commercialisation of products. With the introduction of FA Bio’s new fermentation and formulation laboratory earlier this year, Alessandro was responsible for setting up the fermentation and formulation processes and designing effective product development workflows and their management.
Alessandro’s impeccable attention to detail and expertise in formulation have ensured the processes can be completed more quickly and efficiently, increasing product stability and efficacy. Improving the formulated microbial MVP stability for field trials allows FA Bio to test the efficacy of the microbial candidates in field trials. The process of taking a product from the laboratory to the field environment is a fundamental step in progressing leads from research to commercialisation
