Anne is an experienced research scientist with a deep knowledge of plant genetics and genomics. She has a broad skill set that covers bioinformatics, laboratory and field projects, having worked on whole genome sequencing and transcriptomics data. As part of her role, Anne will contribute to designing experiments, analysing data, and generating insights. This will help advance our mission to revolutionise sustainable agriculture and provide solutions that make farming more efficient and resilient.
Anne initially joined FA Bio in September 2022 as part of a placement; she helped optimise DNA extraction, established protocols for cytotoxicity assays and conducted genome mining. Prior to this, she was a Research Technician at the University of Southampton, where she implemented, maintained and recorded greenhouse and laboratory experiments. She has also conducted a full range of glasshouse procedures as a Technical Assistant at Syngenta.
Anne has a PhD in Plant Genetics from the University of Southampton, and an MSc in Agriculture, Ecology and Environment from the University of Reading.
