Angela is Founder and Director of FA Bio, having previously served as the company’s CEO. She founded FA Bio with a focus on applying biotechnology to some of the biggest challenges facing agriculture, particularly sustainable food production and regenerative farming.
With more than 19 years’ experience in agriculture and innovation, Angela has a strong background in biotechnology, scientific leadership and business development. During her time as CEO, she led the scientific direction of FA Bio and played a central role in shaping the company’s strategy, innovation pipeline and growth.
Angela completed her Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia before moving to Imperial College London, where she completed a Master of Research in Chemical Biology of Crop Protection and Sustainability and a PhD in Chemical Biology. She was awarded the Lord Porter Prize and Imperial College London’s Medal for Outstanding Student Achievement.
Alongside her scientific career, Angela has undertaken executive and leadership development through IESE Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management and INSEAD. She has also been supported as an entrepreneur by the Royal Academy of Engineering and received tailored leadership and executive training through the Shott Scale Up Accelerator.
Throughout her career, Angela has combined science, entrepreneurship and leadership, with a particular focus on using biotechnology to address challenges in sustainable agriculture. She has also been an advocate for women in entrepreneurship and leadership.
