Andrea is an experienced microbiologist and molecular biologist with a particular expertise in the ecology and evolution of pathogenic microorganisms. Andrea’s role at FA Bio includes planning and executing microbiological testing techniques to discover and identify superior microbes from agricultural soils.
Andrea has almost two decades of experience in microbiology, conducting projects at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the University of California, the University of Idaho and the University of Florida. For each of Andrea’s projects she was responsible for the maintenance of the laboratories and risk assessments, planning and executing the experiments as well as mentoring students and preparing scientific publications and presentations.
Andrea has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
