After 11 years of visionary leadership, FA Bio (FungiAlert Limited) has announced that its Founder and CEO, Dr. Angela de Manzanos Guinot, has stepped down from the role, effective July 31, 2026. Since co-founding the company in 2015, Angela has been the driving force behind FA Bio’s mission to revolutionise sustainable agriculture through the discovery of superior microbes. Under her guidance, the company has grown from a small UK start-up into a trusted global partner, laying the foundation for FA Bio’s next phase of growth.
“Leading FA Bio has been the most rewarding chapter of my career,” said Angela. “I’m proud of what we’ve built together – a company that not only delivers cutting-edge technology but also supports the people who feed the world. I have every confidence the team and Board will continue to push boundaries and make a positive impact.”

The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring a smooth transition. Angela will continue to serve as a Director on the Board to provide continuity and guidance during the leadership transition. In the interim, the Board is working with John W. Dombrosky as Operating Advisor. John is a seasoned commercial and operating leader with a track record building high-performance teams in complex, regulated industries, including as CEO of Oerth Bio and across senior commercial roles at Syngenta. He has been supporting FA Bio on an advisory basis over the past few months. John will support day-to-day leadership, supported by Leigh Credland (Chief Operating Officer), Toni Bucci (Chairperson of the Board), and Steve Headington (Shareholder and Board Director).
“We are deeply grateful for Angela’s passion, vision, and dedication,” added Toni Bucci. “ we look forward to her continued support as we navigate the upcoming transition.”
FA Bio remains steadfast in its mission to deliver innovative solutions that help farmers increase productivity, protect the environment, and secure the future of food – and this leadership transition marks the next step in that journey.
