FA Bio, previously FungiAlert, was founded in 2015 by Dr Angela de Manzanos Guinot and Dr Kerry O’Donnelly Weaver with the mission of developing tools to support sustainable agriculture and revolutionise disease management practices.

They developed their SporSenZ technology for the early detection of soil pathogens, whilst completing their PhD studies at Imperial College London.

Since 2016, FA Bio is based at Rothamsted Research, a world-leading research centre that focuses on agricultural science.
