Dr Andreas Renz appointed as Chief Business Officer at FA Bio

FA Bio, the revolutionary agriculture microbial discovery and development company, looks to accelerate its scale up and sourcing of commercial partnerships, with the appointment of Dr Andreas Renz as Chief Business Officer.

Chief Business Officer, Dr Andy Renz will conduct all business and corporate development activities, supporting FA Bio as it scales up its development projects and looks to secure several long-lasting commercial partnerships. He is a passionate innovator and leader in agricultural technologies and biosciences with an extensive global network in the agriculture industry. With over 20 years of global industry experience, Andy Renz is an expert in business development, technology acquisition and investor relations and has a strong technical expertise in agricultural biotechnology, biologicals, biopesticides and protein-based solutions.

Prior to joining FA Bio, Andy was Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Vestaron Corporation and was responsible for the development and execution of its research strategy as well as identifying R&D collaborations and partnerships. He was also Vice President of Business Development at Benson Hill Biosystems before becoming an Independent Consultant to bioscience start-up companies. Following his postdoctoral research in Plant Physiology, Andy spent 15 years at BASF Plant Science where he led research projects, was responsible for forming several innovation scouting teams and led its competitive intelligence activities. Andy has a PhD in Plant Science and Biochemistry.
