Anima is experienced in the study of microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi, and has a deep understanding of their biology, their modes of transmission and the diseases they cause.
After completing her Master`s degree in Medical Microbiology at the University of Hertfordshire, Anima went on to complete a year’s Work Placement with FA Bio. Working as a lab technician, she was focused on the downstream processes in product development, the discovery of beneficial soil microbes and understanding their ability to act as a biocontrol or biofertilizer in commercial crops. Anima also developed two modes of action protocols for screening volatile and non-volatile compounds.
Anima gained hands-on experience of successful plant growth experiments, fermentation and microbiological techniques.
Anima has a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from North South University in Bangladesh and a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Hertfordshire.
